[Notice] Service URL move to Korean subdomain

Dear all,

As of June 1, 2024, the The Economy’s service URL has been switched to the following Korean subdomain.

• The Economy Korea: https://kr.economy.ac

This is due to a part of service ownership transition to GIAI LLC, scheduled to be completed by 2025 Q1. The company has tentatively allocated 6 months duration of 301 redirection until the main domain to host English version of news journals.

Despite the main service’s URL redirection, all individually running Korean news journals will keep the original URLs.

The company officials aim to minimize time losses given to URL redirection, but at this point, we are unable to preplan the course of transition due to uncertainties embedded in the search engines’ and visitors’ adaptabilities.

Along with Korean subdomain redirection, we truncate translation services for all websites. There has been multiple rounds of internal discussions that the AI translated contents are exposed to potential delivery of incorrect information. Although we are not afraid of offering experimental AI products, it is come to our understanding that the incorrect information may tarnish credibilities of GIAI’s research/news media group and we are also concerned about the unintended potential financial/reputational losses to companies in the incorrectly translated articles.

The experiment on translations will be re-applied to our other products in the future.
